Showcases main propulsion engines for Korea Coast Guard patrol vessels, highlighting supply capabilities for ships ranging from 50 to 5,000 tons

STX Engine announced that it will showcase propulsion and generator engines for Korea Coast Guard patrol vessels at Korea Ocean Expo (KOE) 2026, held in Songdo, Incheon, from June 17 to 19.

Jointly hosted by the Korea Coast Guard and Incheon Metropolitan City, KOE is South Korea’s premier specialized maritime safety exhibition, showcasing cutting-edge technology and equipment across the maritime safety and defense sectors.

At the exhibition, STX Engine will display actual units of its V4000-series main propulsion engine and QSB7DM generator engine?both equipped in 200-ton patrol boats?alongside a scale model of the V1163-series propulsion engine used in 5,000-ton patrol vessels.

Notably, the company recently reaffirmed its competitive edge in the small patrol boat market by being selected as the equipment manufacturer for the Korea Coast Guard’s new 50-ton patrol boats. As a result, STX Engine now supplies engines across the entire spectrum of major Coast Guard vessel classes?spanning 50, 200, 500, 1,500, 3,000, and 5,000 tons?cementing its position as South Korea's leading engine provider for Coast Guard ships.
